Jamie McNair

Who I am riding for this year 2025 - RIP DAD 🫶🏼

I recently lost my Dad to Cancer. It started out as a Squamous Cell Carcinoma on Dads neck in May last year, at Christmas time Dad was told his immunotherapy had worked and there was no cancer left in his neck or Lymph Nodes according to his Pet Scan. 7 weeks later Dad was taken to hospital by Ambulance as he was in Pain and unable to move. After 2 - 3 days of scans and biopsy’s we were informed Dad had a Gall Bladder Malignancy which had spread to his Liver and unfortunately it was so aggressive it had progressed to Stage 4 Terminal Cancer in a very short time. This turned our world upside down but Dad was an absolute champion and so strong to the very end and after spending every available second I could with Dad after we received the news he sadly passed away only 6 days later in Fiona Stanley Hospital.

In honour of my Beautiful Dad Keith McNair and my Pop Russell Hooper who also passed away 20 years ago from Cancer this October I’m riding 200km in the MACA Cancer 200 Ride to
Raise funds for Research to help find a cure for cancer.

It would mean the world to me if you would consider donating money to my cause. I have set a fundraising goal of $4000. Every little bit helps and any donation over the amount of $2 is tax deductible. If you wish to donate please do so via the link in my page and please feel free to share my fundraising page to others who may be willing to help. Thank you very much I appreciate everyone’s support 🫶🏼 #cancerresearch #ridetoconquercancer #MACACancer200

I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person, it shakes up families, friends and communities. This year, I will be taking a stand against it.

On Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 October 2025, I’m joining a community of passionate riders to cycle 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Every dollar pushes us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins where brilliant researchers work tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they also need our help to ensure their vital progress continues– no matter what.

100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins giving cancer researchers the support to continue their life-saving work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.

The Ride is more than just a test of endurance—it’s about unity. I'll ride alongside an incredible group of people who believe, as I do, that cancer can be conquered. Your support can turn this belief into reality.

I can’t do this alone. Will you help me to reach this goal?

Whether you join me on the Ride or support my fundraising, your generosity could be the key to saving our loved ones from this disease.

Together, we can beat cancer!
